Buafiagal

The Buafiagal (Boof-eye-gal) or "Valorous Toads" are a band of toad knights lead by Bas Cadoc. They currently reside and operate out of Dara Saol north of The Heap.

The Buafiagal were originally formed from the survivors of a dragon attack on a small toad settlement near the western wood. The dragon Cat type was eventually fought off by Bas Cadoc and a few stronger toads. The town was destroyed, and so Cadoc led the toads through the warrens in search of peace. For a time they gained renown by helping the toads of the land, slowly recruiting new members as they did. A common plague were the near constant insect attacks, which they eventually traced to Dara Bas (Oak of Death), an ancient oak stump on the shores of Loch Loren. After a massive and costly battle, they managed to capture the stump and renamed it Dara Saol (Oak of life), taking it as their new home and base of operations.

With victory came an era of peace, which made the toads popular to the nearbye mice inhabitants of the heap. They agreed to help build Dara Saol into a true castle, in exchange for continued protection. After the construction was complete, Cadoc requested they begin building a new fortress city out of the oak trunk laying on the shores south of Dara Saol.

In the years since the arrival of the Buafiagal, the insect raids have grown more frequent and they have begun to falter on their promise to protect the mice.
