The Insect Horde

A new danger encroaches on the land of Treefall, many legged, sheathed in hardened carapace, and tilted in unison on a shared goal. The insect horde is unlike the many monstrous horrors lurking in the underground Warrens. They are zealots guided by an invisible hand, the Insect Lord, to what end only they can know.

The ranks swell with every flipped log, comprised of cannon fodder and heavy units alike. They are territorial and will attack any soul that wonders into a lair. Dara Saol was one such lair, but the Buafiagal liberated it in a costly siege. The Horde has maintained persistent attacks around the mighty stump, but its full force has yet to bare down there.

A recent horde attack on the Heap, the farthest southern clash thus recorded, has shifted the pressure onto Bas Cadoc, as many mice feel he failed his duty to protect them.
